During this icebreaker expedition from Anadyr, on Russia's Asian shore to Murmansk, near the Finnish border, we intend to explore the Chukotka Peninsula, Wrangel Island, the New Siberian Islands, Severnaya Zemlya and Novaya Zemlya and Franz Josef Land. These remote islands are accessible for only a few short weeks annually.

Shipboard Accommodation: The Kapitan Khlebnikov is a polar-class icebreaker, combining power and technology with creature comforts. Originally designed for the rigors of northern Siberia, Kapitan Khlebnikov is one of a few vessels of its kind in the world.

Includes:

Flight from Anchorage, Alaska to Anadyr, Russia, and from Murmansk, Russia to Helsinki, Finland

One night hotel accommodation prior to embarkation, with buffet breakfast

Shipboard accommodation with daily housekeeping

All shipboard breakfasts, lunches and dinners throughout the voyage

All helicopter transfers and aerial sightseeing according to each day's program

All shore landings and Zodiac excursions per the daily program

Group transfer between hotel and airport in Alaska and between the Anadyr airport and the ship

Group transfer from the ship to the airport in Murmansk

Loan of a pair of rubber boots for the duration of the voyage.
