Coming December 2008 Beaches Resorts has announced the development of a new Italian Village to complement its exquisite French Village, further enhancing the resort's aura of old-world charm. The resort also has plans to unveil a massive waterpark, adding fantastic slides and oversized wave pools to the hotels already expansive Pirate?s Island area.
The Italian Village and Waterpark is scheduled to open in December 2008 and is estimated to cost $125 million. The Village will have its own lobby, check-in area, lavish family suites, new gourmet dining options and retail space. The expansion project will also reveal a brand new waterpark, ten times the size of the original Pirate's Island area and soon-to-be one of the largest in the Caribbean. Not for the faint of heart, kids of all ages will splash about in the lazy river, get wild in the surf, or take the plunge down numerous twisting and turning waterslides.
